A handgun is remarkably simple to operate. You pick it up, point it, and squeeze the trigger. The gun does the rest of the job. The hammer cocks and then crashes down on the firing pin, sparking a tiny gunpowder explosion that expels the bullet from its cartridge. From a technological standpoint, the process is child's play.
