Meteorite (me-te-or-ite) A meteor that reaches Earth’s surface without completely vaporizing.

Meteoroid (me-te-or-oid) A meteor particle in space.

Meteoric (me-te-or-ic) Resembling a meteor in speed or temporary brilliance.

Meteorology (me-te-o-rol-o-gy) Atmospheric science and weather forecasting.

Meter (me-ter) 1. Rhythm. 2. A unit of measure (39.37 inches). 3. A device to measure or record, like a parking meter.
