1. The simplest answer is the letter L.

2. The other answer is the letter F.

3. Here are six unfolded shapes. Note that in the original figure, either the blue or the orange area must be two layers thick. You can unfold a two-layer area along any of its edges, except when that creates a figure which cannot be cut out of a flat sheet of paper. Note that the letter L is not one of the answers, because you would see an extra edge if you were to shine a light through the paper.



In the solutions below, a solid red line indicates that the smaller section should be folded toward you. A dotted red line means that you should fold the smaller section away from you.
