Roads Less Traveled

In the diagrams below, the horizontal line shows the path followed by each wheel's axis. By the way, in the photograph on the Bogglers puzzle, each arc in the road beneath the square wheels is based on a catenary curve—the curve formed by a rope hanging from two points.
